Income

If you want to build a new life in the Netherlands, you want to get to work quickly.
When you work, you feel useful. Then you earn an income to be able to live. If you have a family, you can support your family. We then say that you are financially able to manage your own life.

But by working, you are also socially involved.
Because you work with Dutch people, you learn much faster how we interact with each other in the Netherlands. And how important you yourself are with your place in our Ridderkerk society.
In Ridderkerk we do it together!

It is difficult for status holders to find work as long as they do not yet speak the Dutch language. That is why you have drawn up a plan with the Gemeente Ridderkerk to integrate. If you are still in the process of integration and are not yet working, you will receive financial assistance.

In your conversations with the klantmanager of the Gemeente Ridderkerk and in your conversations with Vluchtelingenwerk Ridderkerk, you will discuss how you will be helped to build an independent existence as well and as quickly as possible.

It’s up to you to work hard on that. There are many organizations, professionals and volunteers who want to help you with this.
